Who do you consult about your medicine?
~a “reassuring ally” called a “family pharmacist”~
“This medicine looks like the one I got before, is there any difference?”
Should I be careful about taking them together?
I didn’t ask at the hospital, but I’m actually a little concerned about it…”
Have you ever wondered about your medications in your daily life?
When you go to the pharmacy, it is not uncommon to receive explanations in a flowing manner and return home thinking that you somehow “get it”.
It is at times like this that you can rely on your ” family pharmacist”.
What does a family pharmacist do?
In a nutshell, they are ” dedicated medication specialists who know you well”.
Like your family doctor, you can feel free to consult with him or her about your medication at any time. But we do more than just give you your medications.
They propose and manage your medication based on a thorough understanding of your overall picture, including your past medication history, your physical constitution, any side effects, your lifestyle, and even your use of over-the-counter medications and supplements.
In other words, they are “partners who work with you to find the right drug treatment for you”.
Why are family pharmacists in the spotlight now?
One reason is the aging society and the increase in multiple drug use.
Patients visit multiple departments and receive different medications from different doctors –
Under these circumstances, the risk of medication duplication and side effects increases.
In such a situation, the family pharmacist plays a role in coordinating the entire medication package and sharing any findings with the physician.
Furthermore, recently, with the expansion of home medical care and online follow-up using social networking services, the role of the family pharmacist is becoming increasingly active.
We provide follow-up services via email, phone, and LINE. Customers who appoint a family pharmacist can consult with us anytime about their medications, with or without a prescription.
If you prefer a foreign language to communicate with us, it is totally fine! Our bilingual staff will respond to you if you contact us in English via email or LINE. We try to respond to you with the help of AI and CAT tools if you type in any other foreign language. Please remember though, that we do not offer the service with a foreign language on phone or at store.
Who would you recommend?
- Those who have a large number of medications that are difficult to manage
- Those who have concerns or questions about their medications
- Those who have elderly parents living apart from their families
- Those who have felt that “the pharmacy is just a place to receive
If you have ever thought, “If only I had someone I could properly consult with…,” then the family pharmacist system is perfect for you.
What can you do for me?
The family pharmacist is the same pharmacist who is continuously in charge of you each time you visit. This allows us to provide total support, not only for checking medication combinations and side effects, but also for changes in lifestyle and physical condition.
For example, you can do this
- Centralization of prescribed medications (all medications can be provided at one pharmacy)
- Combine multiple medication registers into one
- Check for duplicate or combined prescriptions
- Ongoing management of medication status (checking for forgotten medications, etc.)
- Cooperative support by sharing information with physicians and family members

Finally, a “pharmacist with a face to face” gives a sense of security.
Times are changing little by little.
Hospitals and pharmacies are moving from “places to receive medical treatment and dispensing” to “places where you can lean on.
The same pharmacist is always there.”
